I believe words are the only objects of human creation that endure through the ages. Pyramids decay, buildings crumble, paintings fade. But words—whether three thousand years old or three minutes old—possess the potential to enter the soul as fresh and as forceful as the day they were first uttered or penned.
I am an 1836 percent pure bred, open range native son of the great Lone Star. I tell stories about the people, the places, and the past of my own blood’s country. I seek to capture a Texas that once was but is now no more and never will be again.
